Local Transportation

Local transportation methods includes:

  • Taxis are available 24/7 from sheltered ranks right outside the Domestic and International Terminals. During peak times, Kerbside Officers are on hand to assist.  At the Domestic Terminal, the taxi rank is located centrally in the front of the Terminal building. At the International Terminal, you will find the cab rank in front of the Terminal on the Level 2 Arrivals Road, through the doors and out to the left. Passengers can expect to pay $45 - $55 (one way for a trip from the airport to Brisbane City). Outside of peak periods, it is approximately a 20 minute drive from the airport to the city. Use the 13cabs advanced fare estimator to calculate a fare.
  • Air Train from International Airport (Level 3 of the Terminal building and follow the signs)  or Domestic Airport (take the Skywalk in front of the building across to the station) to Roma Street Station and walk for around 4 minutes to Pullman & Mercure Brisbane King George Square. To use this service, book your ticket on the Airtrain website and get your return journey FREE*, plus access exclusive specials for group travellers travelling together, and families with kids travelling FREE*. If you want to purchase tickets on arrival at the Air Train Station you can buy a paper ticket, travel using go card or travel using contactless payment. To use contactless payment, you must touch on with a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express on the train station gates and card readers. You can use a physical contactless debit or credit card, smartphone, smart watch, or smart device.
  • Rideshare pick up services, includes Uber, Didi, Ola and Sheba. Simply order your rideshare using your preferred app and follow the signs to the designated Rideshare Booking areas to meet with your driver. At International Terminal, take the lift or escalator down to Level 1, follow the Rideshare Booking signs towards the open air car park on the left as you exit the Terminal building (towards the city).You can also follow the map in your rideshare app to the pick up location. At Domestic Terminal, Uber & Rideshare pick up is on the central road between taxi pick up and passenger pick up and drop off, either side of the Skywalk. Upon exiting the Terminal, cross two crossings to find it. View the location on a map. 
  • Car hire is also available at Brisbane Airport. At International Terminal, car hire desks are on Level 1, near baggage claim at both the Virgin and Qantas ends of the Domestic Terminal. Directions

From Brisbane Airport (15km/20-30 minutes drive):

· Follow Airport Drive to the roundabout/lights, take 2nd exit and approximately 100 mtrs after exit take left exit into Nudgee Road.

· Follow Nudgee Road to the end, turning right onto Kingsford Smith Drive at the lights.

· Continue on Kingsford Smith Drive, taking the left exit ramp for Breakfast Creek Road.

· Continue following Breakfast Creek Road, which changes to Ann Street into the city. 


Hotel Parking Information

Self-Parking

· Obtain ticket at entry gate and retain it

· When you are ready to leave make you way to the pay station located on the ground floor of the hotel and insert your ticket

· You have the option to pay by credit card or cash

· Use paid ticket to exit the parking

· Once you have paid for you parking you have a 15 minute widow to exit the parking without getting further charged

Valet Parking

· Delegate drives into the hotel

· Concierge will ask for their name and if they are checking in

· Client to advise name of event attending

· Concierge will provide your delegate with a ticket that they hang on to. Keys are taken and car is parked

·  Upon departure, delegate presents ticket to concierge and car is brought up. At this time delegate will pay for parking at reception 


Alternate Parking Options

· Wintergarden, 162 Elizabeth Street

· MacArthur Central - 246 Elizabeth Street 

· Post Office Square - 223-235 Adelaide Street

· King George Square Parking - Located on Roma Street, directly opposite the hotel. The King George Square car park is a great alternative should hotel parking be full. Parking charges at subject to change. Note operating hours though, as it is not 24 hours.
